Handel's - Messiah
A Community Concert


Sunday, November 30 at 2:00 pm

Adults and Senior Citizens $5, Students 12 and under  $3.  Proceeds after expenses will be donated to Safe Harbor, Helping Hands and the Reedsburg area Food Pantry.
Talented community members, students, soloists, and a featured guest conductor will bring Handel's moving choral master piece to life on stage here at the CAL Center. Contact Dawn atwebdawn@rucls.net  if you would like to part of this community celebration of the Messiah .

It's "Fargo" meets the "Music Man".

Don't Hug Me takes place in a colorful north woods bar in tiny Bunyan Bay, Minnesota. It is the coldest day of the year and cantankerous bar owner Gunner Johnson wants to sell the business and move to sunny Florida. Clara, his wife and former Winter Carnival Bunyan Queen, wants to stay. Bernice Lundstrom, the pretty waitress, wants to pursue a singing career. Her fiance, Kanule Gunderson, wants her to stay home. It's a battle of wills that tests their relationships and when fast-talking salesman, Aarvid Gisselsen, promises to solve their problems and bring romance into their lives through the magic of karaoke, all heck breaks loose! It is time again to enjoy another great north woods comedy here at the CAL Center.

In an age when television, computers and video games reign supreme, the folks at Lightwire Theater bring their use of cutting edge technology, moving sculpture and dance to another unforgettable theatrical experience. The Ugly Duckling and the Tortoise and the Hare uses electroluminescent puppetry. Lightwire theater brings Hans Christian Anderson's Ugly Duckling to the modern stage offering hope to us all as we root for the ugly duckling who exemplifies resilience and herosim along the way to becoming a swan. Aesop's fable " The Tortoise and the Hare," is fast forwarded 2,500 years and brought into the tech world to drive home the time-tested adage, Slow and steady wins the race. Don't let your kids of grand kids miss this unforgettable show right here in Reedsburg.

Shawndell currently resided in rural Reedsburg with  her husband and two children and is again looking forward to creating music with her talented band after taking a musical hiatus. She has two original albums , Remnants of Crazy and Little Things. Her music  reflects sweet,simple concepts using her voice, piano, and various keyboard sounds. Come and enjoy this talented hometown artist.
